The Journal of the Anthropological Society of South Australia accepts original manuscripts in the fields of anthropology, archaeology, and related disciplines. At present, our online submission system is under development. Until further notice, authors are requested to submit their manuscripts as email attachments directly to the Contact Editor, Tom Habgood, at:
📧 editor@anthropologysocietysa.com
All manuscripts submitted must represent original and unpublished work that is not under consideration elsewhere. Submissions should be written in English and prepared in either Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX (.tex) format. Every manuscript will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review to ensure the quality and integrity of published research.
The structure of the manuscript should include a title page with the title, author names, affiliations, and contact details; an abstract of 150–250 words; and 3–6 keywords. The main text should be organized into appropriate sections such as introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusion. Acknowledgments (if any) should be placed after the main text, followed by references consistently formatted according to APA style, 7th edition. Figures and tables must be clearly numbered, cited in the text, and provided as separate high-resolution files (JPEG, PNG, or TIFF for images; Word/Excel for tables).
Formatting requirements include the use of Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced text, and margins of 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all sides. Page numbers should be included in the bottom-right corner of each page. References must strictly adhere to APA (7th edition) formatting guidelines.
