Regular issues are often structured around specific themes, while non-themed issues may also be published. In addition, special editions may be produced at the discretion of guest editors.<\/p><p data-start=\"567\" data-end=\"747\">Scholars interested in serving as guest editors for a special issue are invited to submit a proposal to the Contact Editor, Tom Habgood, at:\ud83d\udce7 <a class=\"cursor-pointer\" href=\"mailto:editor@anthropologysocietysa.com\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"745\">editor@anthropologysocietysa.com<\/a><\/p><p data-start=\"754\" data-end=\"793\"><strong>Special Issue Proposal Guidelines<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"795\" data-end=\"867\">Proposals for special issues should include the following information:<\/p><ul data-start=\"869\" data-end=\"1672\"><li data-start=\"869\" data-end=\"947\"><p data-start=\"871\" data-end=\"947\">Clearly outline the focus of the special issue.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"948\" data-end=\"1089\"><p data-start=\"950\" data-end=\"1089\">Provide a short description (300\u2013500 words) explaining the relevance, significance, and timeliness of the proposed theme.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1090\" data-end=\"1268\"><p data-start=\"1092\" data-end=\"1268\">List the names, affiliations, and contact details of proposed guest editors, along with a brief description of their expertise in relation to the theme.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1269\" data-end=\"1426\"><p data-start=\"1271\" data-end=\"1426\">Suggest a list of potential contributors or types of manuscripts expected (e.g., research articles, reviews, case studies).<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1427\" data-end=\"1548\"><p data-start=\"1429\" data-end=\"1548\">Indicate the proposed schedule for the call for papers, peer review, revisions, and final publication.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1549\" data-end=\"1672\"><p data-start=\"1551\" data-end=\"1672\">Note whether the issue will include editorials, commentaries, or other special formats.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1674\" data-end=\"1914\">Proposals will be reviewed by the journal\u2019s editorial team to ensure alignment with the journal\u2019s scope and standards.
